How I Made my Blue Jay Tree Collection

I painted another bird tree collection, and this time I changed things up a bit!

I decided to challenge myself to paint a tree using a variety of different size papers vs having the tree fit perfectly on 8″ x 10″ watercolor paper.

This tree has a very special meaning to me. It was inspired by a tree I drive by everyday when I bring my kids to school. (You can see the tree in the photos next to my paintings in the video below.)

Watch the video to hear the story behind this tree, and see how I made it:

Here’s what the finished image of the tree looks like when all the pieces are put together:

The Blue Jay Tree print is now available in the print section of my shop!

The six original bird paintings that make up this collection will also be available in the original painting section of my shop:

I’m so excited about this collection ,and I wanted everyone to enjoy a piece of it!

I’ve decided to make the cardinal from this tree available as a free download.

It’s a gift from me to you:-)
